Rose's family meant the world to her, “the love for my sons and their wives and my grandchildren and the joy that they gave me, cannot be described in so many words”. She loved a good time with family or friends and had a passion for the outdoors, gardening, curling, hockey and swimming. Her favorite pastime was fishing for pickerel and picking wild blueberries. She was known for her positive attitude, hospitality, and wonderful sense of humour. No person ever left hungry or thirsty.
A very special thank you goes out to all the doctors and staff who helped care for her and to the many friends who kept a watchful eye over her during the years. It made her living at Wendigo Lake the most amazing adventure.
In keeping with Rose's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left at www.mcdonaldfuneralhome.ca.
