With sorrow the family of "Gramma" Mrs. Eva Rodgers announces her peaceful passing, surrounded by her family, at the Kirkland Lake Hospital January 31, 2016.
Eva was born in Armstrong Township February 23, 1923 to Ivan and Lillian Field. She worked for a brief period of time at a pottery factory in Hamilton Ontario as part of the war effort. She returned home and married Gerald Rodgers September 18, 1947 . Eva worked beside her husband on the family farm in Savard Township until their retirement. Eva's pastime and hobbies included gardening and spending as much time as possible with her 6 grandchildren playing various card and board games, not to mention baking tasty treats for them. Gram got much pleasure out of raising exotic chickens, peacocks and watching TV games shows especially the Price is Right. Most of all she will be remembered for being a loving and caring person to all of us.
Eva was predeceased by her husband Gerald, parents Ivan and Lillian Field, brothers Clarence, Gordon and Elmer and sister Marjorie.
Gramma is survived by her sons Melvin (JoAnne) Lethbridge, AB., Calvin (Linda) Charlton.
