Life Story for Robert "Bob" Green

Robert "Bob" Green
In loving memory of Mr. Robert " Bob " Green who passed away at Englehart & District Hospital, on Friday, December 07, 2018 at the age of 77.

Bob was born in Larder Lake on March 11, 1941 to the late Harold (Tom) Green & Enid (nee Bowes). He worked on the Ontario Northland Railway for 39 years. He started as a call boy in 1957 then was hired on to the train crew in 1959 and retired as a Conductor in 1996. He was a former member of the Charlton-Englehart Lions club-past president; and he earned the "Helen Keller Fellowship" award for outstanding efforts in June 1997.

Bob enjoyed many years as a cottager and home owner on Long Lake. He loved "floatboating". He loved his Saturday 4-wheeler rides with his 2 brother in laws Jake Armstrong & John Emrick and his Saturday night hockey games (Bob was a loyal Boston Bruin fan). But Bob loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Pre-deceased by his parents Harold (Tom) Green & Enid (nee Bowes); brother Cliff Bowes and sisters Irene Johnson and Jean Myers.

He is survived by his wife Norma, son Tom Green (Tara Laframboise) and his grandchildren Edward & Charlotte Green.

In keeping with Bob's wishes, there is no visitation or service at this time, cremation has taken place. In memory contributions to the Englehart & District Hospital or the charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left at
